GLENS FALLS - The Argyle Scots felt the Germantown Clippers climb back into the game.

No problem.  Just nail a three and get comfortable once again.

It's the formula that brought Jack Sherwin his third straight Class D Sectional title as the Argyle Scots held off the Germantown Clippers 54-49.

Both teams started off cold, as many shots clinked off the rim.  But then Argyle started making shots, thanks to one of their forwards, James Bristol.  His 7 points helped give the Scots a 13-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter.  Both teams had an even second quarter, as Argyle went to the break with a 7 point lead.

Germantown threatened to come back in the htird quarter, but 3's from Jonah Horton and Kobe Lufkin helped extend the Scots lead.  Then Lufkin came up big again in the 4th Quarter.  After that, the Scots held on as Germantown was unable to complete the comeback.

James Bristol led the Scots with 15 points.  Brock Liddle scored 14 and Kobe Lufkin added 13 points.  Germantown's Scott Scrodin scored 17 points in the loss.

The Scots now will travel to Plattsburgh, where they will face Section 7's Moriah on Wednesday night.  Moriah won the Section 7 crown with their 48-37 win over Westport.
