Ten regular season broadcasts are on the schedule this season as FOX Sports Radio 97.9FM and AM 1230 presents its 7th season of offering live local high school sports.
Live broadcasts will be Saturdays throughout the regular season, expanding to Fridays as well once the Mets season wraps up on September 30th. In addition, there will be a bonus Friday night game offered on opening night of the season, since the Mets are out in San Francisco with a 10:15pm first pitch.
The season begins on Friday, August 31st as the South Glens Falls Bulldogs, fresh off their first winning season in years, host the Mohonasen Warriors. Coverage from South High begins at 6:45pm.
Season highlights will include a couple appearances by Glens Falls standout Joe Girard III, including his Week 4 game against former Foothills Council rivals the Queensbury Spartans. The Queensbury Spartans will also get featured in Week 7 when they renew the Spartan bowl against the burnt Hills Spartans after an one-year absence.
Every team in the FOX Sports Radio 97.9/AM 1230 listening range will be featured at least once.
