And here we are... 2 days away from the start of the High School Football season. There are plenty of games this weekend to whet your appetite from all over Section 2. But what games are the ones we think you should watch?

GAMES TO WATCH:
Shenendehowa at Troy (Friday, 7PM): Welcome back to Class AA, Flying Horses. The Class A runners up in Section 2 gets an immediate challenge when they host always dangerous Shenendehowa to open the season. Whether or not Troy will be able to contend with their AA counterparts will be exhibited here.
Burnt Hills at Amsterdam (Friday, 7PM): This may not be a divisional game this season (Burnt Hills is now in the Southeast Division), but these two teams will play like it is. Neither team likes each other, and their fans have been known to trade barbs against each other. With that said, the game should be very entertaining between last year's Sectional Champion and a team that would love to make it back to the state tournament after three years absence.
Ravena at Glens Falls (Saturday, 1:30PM): Ravena was the #1 seed in the Reinfurt Division, but that factored little as the Glens Falls Indians beat the Indians of southern Albany County on a chilly Friday night last October to gain a berth in the Sectional Championship. Ravena is looking for revenge, and the first chance to obtain that will be Saturday at Putt LeMay Field. The Glens Falls Indians could be interesting this year, especially with returning talent.
Schalmont at Schuylerville (Friday, 7PM): Last year's sectional champions and state runners-up get a test against a Schalmont Sabres team that was humiliated last October at Schuylerville. Now back at the scene of the crime, the Sabres look to show Section 2 that they are back to being the Class B powerhouse.
Corinth at Cobleskill (Friday, 7PM): While Cobleskill may not be the top team of Class B, they should still provide the Corinth Tomahawks with a challenge. The Tomahawks hope to get the season off to a right foot after last season came to a catastrophic end with Stillwater stealing away the victory with less than a minute left in the Sectional Quaterfinals.
Hoosick Falls at Greenwich (Friday, 7PM): Last year's state runners-up begins the season by hosting the team that wants to get back to sectionals after an unusual absence last year. Ron Jones will want this team to start off well to show they have what it takes to get back to the state tournament. But Greenwich will be tough, and starting on the road will make it even tougher for the Panthers.
Chatham at Voorheesville (Saturday, 1PM): Like Hoosick Falls, Chatham is hungry after not playing in Week 10 last year. Quenching their thirst may have to go through the Voorheesville Blackbirds in a couple of months. But they can get off to the right foot now with a win this weekend on the road.
Cambridge at Rensselaer (Friday, 7PM): When it comes to Class D, until Whitehall's recent emergence, it came down to these two teams vying for the title. Even with the Railroaders taking the helm last year, these two teams are still very strong. The winner will be off to a head start in a Class D that could be competitive this year.
Fort Edward/Argyle at Warrensburg (Saturday, 1PM): This game isn't to watch for future implications more than it is for what it means for Fort Edward. After being unable to field a varsity squad in 2015, this Saturday marks the return of football for the Flying Forts. In year #3 of their partnership with the Argyle Central School District, the Flying Forts hope to start building a program that will see them return to state competition for the first time in nearly a decade. The Burghers will make for good competition for the Flying Forts to welcome them back to football.
