Game 3: Glens Falls 77, Ichabod Crane 55

The Glens Falls Indians pulled away in the second half on the offensive strength of Joe Girard III, advancing to Friday's Sectional Championship game with their 77-55 win over the Ichabod Crane Riders on Monday night. 

The Riders started off warm, getting 10 points from Peter Volkmann in the first quarter to build a 19-16 lead.  They were able to build on their lead, getting the Indians into foul trouble early in the 2nd Quarter, to extend their lead to 8 halfway through the quarter.

The Indians went to the locker room down by three, getting a late 3-pointer from Joe Girard III to tighten the gap.

But the second half was all Glens Falls.  Joe Girard III tied the game on the first possession of the third quarter, scoring from deep.  A Greyson Brady dunk gave Glens Falls the lead, and Girard III added to the lead with another 3 to complete a 7-0 run.

Girard bucketed 17 points for the Indians in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Riders 11 points in that frame.  the Indians would pull further away in the 4th quarter to punch their ticket in Friday's Class B Championship game against Mekeel Christian Academy.  

Joe Girard III scored 28 of his 42 points in the 2nd half, getting help from Tony Green's 17 points.  Peter Volkmann led the Riders with 21 points in the losing effort.
