FORT ANN - The Fort Ann Cardinals (5-0) pieced together an 11-0 run to start the second quarter as they pulled away from the North Warren Cougars (2-2) 67-50 in Adirondack League action on Friday.

Dylan Frost led the Cardinals with a season high 20 points as the Cardinals pulled away in the second and third quarters, after being down 20-17 to close out the first quarter.   Fort Ann began the 2nd quarter with an 11-0 run to build a lead they wouldn't relinquish, outscoring North Warren 41-14 in the middle two stanzas.

The Cougars got 10 points from Anthony Girard, but was held silent in the second half as the Cardinals made it hard for North Warren to get points in the paint.

The Cardinals also tipped several cross-court passes and grabbed many offensive rebounds to give them second and third chances, something the Cougars had a hard time defending against.

North Warren would outscore the Cardinals in the 4th quarter, but Fort Ann had the game well in hand with as much as a 26 point lead at one point in the game.
