GAMES TO WATCH:
Guilderland at Saratoga Springs (Friday, 7PM) - The Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks cannot afford an 0-2 divisional start.  Guilderland is one of those teams that can easily give Saratoga that start, and looked good in Week #1 when it throttled Niskayuna 57-7.

Schuylerville at Ravena (Friday, 7PM), Glens Falls at Schalmont (Friday, 7PM) - Ravena was the top seed of the Reinfurt Division, but never got to play Schuylerville as Glens Falls upset them down in southern Albany County last year.  Schuylerville already showed signs of talent in their win over Schalmont last week, and will be hoping to build upon that tonight on the road.  But Schalmont is always a dangerous team, and would love to avoid a 0-2 start before starting divisional play next week.  Glens Falls is strong, and between these two games, we could be seeing previews of things to come in 2 months.

Corinth at Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne (Thursday, 7PM) - This game already happened.  We could write about why you should see this game, but as the two teams have already played with Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne winning the canoe.  Rivalry games are very fun to watch, though, and you should make plans to watch next year's edition should the two teams meet again.

Voorheesville at Holy Trinity (Friday, 7PM @ Bishop Gibbons) - Bishop Gibbons has worked hard over the past year to install a press box and new stands at their football field on campus, and will celebrate with the import of portable lights to play on a special Friday Night in Schenectady.

Hoosick Falls at Hoosic Valley (Saturday, 1PM) - Rivalry games are always fun.  But with last week's 34-0 loss, this game is more important for the Panthers to bounce back.  A 0-2 start in this tough Class C division could be fatal, and would force the Panthers into a must-win situation for the remainder of the season if they want to end their postseason drought at 1.  It won't be easy, as Hoosic Valley looks very good this year, and is poised to make the playoffs again in October.

Stillwater at Fonda (Friday, 7PM) - Like with Hoosick Falls, this week becomes cricital for the Fonda-Fultonville Braves.  A loss puts them in a tough position when it comes to making the playoffs, and a win gives them much-needed momentum after their debut of their new FieldTurf surface was silenced last Friday.  Stillwater is going to be a strong opponent, and the Braves are going to have to be ready for a 48-minute fight.

Canajoharie at Fort Edward (Saturday, 1PM) - Varsity Football returns to Fort Edward on Saturday afternoon.  It's going to be a tough game for the Flying Forts, but the crowd eager for football on top of the hill should give the Flying Forts some encouragement and support.
